Who we are

Phone Repairman

Phone Repairman is a trading name of Timothy Enterprises Pty Ltd (ACN 663 011 603 · ABN 37 663 011 603), based at 22 Bridge Street, Muswellbrook NSW 2333. We're a device repair business — phones, laptops, tablets, printers and onsite IT — serving Muswellbrook and the Upper Hunter since 2015.

This page applies to anything you tell us, whether in-store, by phone, SMS, email, social media, or via this website.

What we collect

Information we collect

When you bring in a device for repair

  • Your name, phone number and email
  • Details of the device (make, model, serial number, IMEI where applicable)
  • A description of the fault or what you'd like done
  • An access code or PIN if it's needed to test the repair (we ask only when necessary)
  • Photographs of the device condition at intake

When you contact us

By phone, SMS, email or Facebook Messenger — we keep a record of the channel you used and whatever information you choose to share (name, contact details, your enquiry).

When you visit this website

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) collects standard technical request data — IP address, browser, referring page, requested URL — for security, abuse prevention and performance monitoring. This is aggregate technical data and isn't linked to any identity we hold.

The site doesn't use third-party tracking cookies, marketing pixels, or analytics tags that profile you across the web. If that changes we'll update this page and disclose what's been added.

Why we collect it

How we use your information

  • To repair, return and warrant your device
  • To contact you about your repair — when it's ready, if we need approval to proceed, or if we have questions
  • To process payment
  • To respond to enquiries you've sent us
  • To meet our obligations under the OEM warranty programs we're an authorised agent for (HP, Acer, Lexmark and Epson) — see "Who we share with" below

Sharing

Who we share it with

  • OEM warranty programs. When you lodge a warranty repair for HP, Acer, Lexmark or Epson, we share the minimum data needed to process the claim with the manufacturer's authorised service program. That's typically your name, device serial number, and a description of the fault. Each manufacturer has its own privacy policy.
  • Payment processors. Card and contactless payments are handled by our terminal provider. We don't store credit-card numbers on our systems.
  • Software we use to run the business. Customer + repair records are stored in Zoho (CRM, Books, Mail — Zoho has Australian / Asia-Pacific data centres). SMS messages we send you are delivered via Twilio.
  • Government or law enforcement. Only where required by law, on receipt of a valid request.

We don't sell your information to anyone. We don't share it with advertisers or list brokers.

Storage + retention

Where it's stored and for how long

Data is held by the providers listed above, encrypted at rest. We retain repair records for the period required by Australian Consumer Law and tax obligations — typically seven years — and then delete them. If you ask us to delete your records sooner, we will, subject to whatever we're legally required to retain (for example, an invoice we've already issued).

Your rights

Access, correction and deletion

You can ask us to:

  • Show you what personal information we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's inaccurate
  • Delete your records (subject to the retention obligations above)
  • Stop contacting you about anything except an active repair

Reach out to info@phonerepairman.com.au or call 02 6543 1289. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Complaints

If you're not happy with how we handle your information

Contact us first via the details above — we'd like the chance to fix it. If we don't resolve it to your satisfaction, you can lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version always lives at phonerepairman.com.au/privacy-policy. Significant changes will be noted at the top of this page.
